We have all heard the tails, MLM companies are a scam … This is the belief of many but a reality for a few, everyone has to network , some just do it for a business that is more open about it. In business and it does not matter what business, networking is what you do, other wise you would not have people to purchase your good or service. We all ask for a referral from our clients , if not you will now, and this is networking.Now before you get involved with the my cousin’s uncles niece was scammed by one of those MLM companies selling “insert product here ” and all they did was take her money. Well this very well may have happened , in some form or another most of us have been lured into something we regretted later . Now MLM’s work a lot like businesses do, they ask for you to make referrals, give you commission for selling and for people that you recruit to sell under you. Here is the kicker that most have not thought about . In business we ask our costumers for referrals, word of mouth advertising, then we also reward them with discounts, loyalty cards, bonuses for bringing in people to purchase from you. The similarities are astounding aren’t they, unlike MLM though businesses usually have a storefront , brick and mortar if you will , where most MLM companies let you work from home and in your spare time.
Now how does this help you , as a business owner, well we all could learn a few things from the more successful MLM’s out there. Do you ask for referrals ? If you do not then start now, it is one of the cheapest ways to get more people into your business and buy your product or service . Do you reward loyalty ? You should, if you have one client that always come to you for products or services that you provide would you not want to say thank you ? Gift cards, discount rates , special invites to events and promos AND what if they bring you more clients ? Do you give them something for doing all the work ? Do you ask your clients to bring in friends and relatives to you events and make then feel like they are part of the team? You should .
